The five print studios have hosted a series of exhibitions, events and workshops during 2013 and 2014 to run in parallel with the residencies.
The exhibition programme began in the summer of 2013 with There Will Be New Rules Next Week at DCA, including Below another sky artists Emily Floyd and Scott Myles. During the summer of 2014, Edinburgh Printmakers hosted the exhibition Louise Hopkins & Carol Rhodes: Drawings, Paintings & Prints and Glasgow Print Studio presented Michael Fullerton’s solo exhibition Meaning Inc.
To coincide with the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow (from 23 July – 3 August 2014), and the associated and nationwide Culture 2014 programme, Glasgow Print Studio also presented Below another sky at Glasgow Print Studio, showing a selection of the work in print commissioned by the Scottish Print Network. This changing presentation, which ran in parallel with the final international artists residencies in Scotland, provided an illustration of the project in progress.
An exhibition of all the work produced by each participating artist took place at Aberdeen Art Gallery from 11 October 2014 – 24 January 2015. A selection of work was also presented at Inverness Museum and Art Gallery from 12 March – 11 April, 2015.
To mark the acquisition of Below another sky for the British Council’s Collection, a selection of the work was shown at the British Council’s London headquarters from 25 September to 2 November 2015
